Class 1 was a success ....women gathered to begin an aikido journey. That includes black belts. Beginners and dan ranks beginning ...that's the dan rank mindset- or should be.

Last class there were 34 earnest students practising aikido. Plenty returning students - plenty new and eager to learn. Practised ukemi, ready stance,  basic attacks and some basic moves. Looking good!

East End Aikido NL will practise 4 more Wednesdays before Easter. The last class for this school year will be April 10th /19. Students have learned a lot and certainly demonstrate good skill.

Aikido 2019 ..January

The new year has started with eager students at varying kyu ranks. Beginners working on 6th kyu , 6th kyu working on developing skill to gain 5th kyu (yellow), and 5th kyu working on skills to gain 4th kyu rank(orange). Students will  be introduced to dojo etiquette - 4th kyu will not be awarded unless students display knowledge of this etiquette. As ranks go higher, standards are higher.
